Introducing a New Program: The Vaccine Homestay Program

Currently, the state of California in the US is vaccinating residents 12 years and older.

Even international students and tourists are eligible for vaccinations (regardless of visa status) as long as you have proof of residence in the state of California.

And of course, it’s free.

Vaccinations for residents 16 years and older started on April 16th, 2021. According to the Los Angeles Department of Public Health, 41% of the general population have finished their second dose of the vaccine, while 68% of people age 65 and over have completed theirs.

Just how, in the short span of one month, did Los Angeles reach such a high vaccination rate? Here are a few possible reasons:

Overall, vaccine operations in Los Angeles are going smoothly. A wide variety of places offer the vaccine as well.

Of these places, occasionally a reservation is required, but you can easily make one online, even the day of or day before, and sudden appointments are allowed.

And with some sites open at night, those who work during the day are easily able to get the vaccine as well.

But on the other hand, what about Japan?

The vaccines have a limited inoculation allowance, and with reservations still being difficult to make, Japan is currently in a state where vaccinations are not being effectively distributed.

This program offers full assistance in getting vaccinated, as well as homestay arrangements and daily lifestyle support to form a perfect support system for your time abroad.

Program Details

Currently, we request that all participants in any of our homestay programs quarantine themselves for ten days at their host family’s house as soon as they enter the country.

Along with the two weeks of quarantine, four weeks are required to get both doses of the vaccine, as well as an additional two weeks in case of any emergency situation, for a total of eight weeks in total.

Los Angeles International Airport Pick Up and Drop Off Service (Roundtrip)

A Japanese staff member will pick you up at the airport when you arrive, and see you off when you depart.

Vaccine Reservation Service

No need to worry about going online to make your vaccine reservation service as one of our staff will do it for you!

Escort Service to the Vaccine Administration Site

A staff member will pick you up from your place of stay and escort you through the vaccination process. Afterwards, the staff will drive you back as well.

Daily Necessities Provision

On the day of your arrival, we will provide you with some daily necessities. (One time only)

Cell Phone Sim Card Provision

Through our affiliated companies, we are able to offer a cell phone SIM card at an affordable price. Without a doubt, a cell phone you can use in Los Angeles during your stay will make your stay much more comfortable and prove to be convenient time and time again.

Local Guidance Service

Before checking into your host family’s house, we will give you a tour of the area nearby.

Life in Los Angeles Orientation

In this orientation, various convenient and useful information is discussed. Topics such as public safety, how to tip, paper and coin money, how to ride the bus, and other topics that you should know while living in Los Angeles are covered.

Emergency Response Service

Should you ever find yourself in trouble, a hotline with Japanese language support is available at all times.

A separate fee may be assessed in the event a staff is dispatched to your location.

Homestay Paperwork and Fee Service

Once a host family that suits your needs and conditions is found, leave the paperwork to us. All necessary fees to be paid for the eight week duration of your homestay will be distributed through us as well.

Although it differs from person to person, common side effects of the vaccine include fever and joint pain.

Should any of these side effects happen to you after vaccination, what would you do?

But with a homestay, a host family is there to help you during your recovery, providing you peace of mind as you recover.

With this in one, we have included the homestay as part of the program with strong consideration for your health in mind.

Of course, we also will support you during your stay, but having someone dependable nearby will always be more comforting, allowing even those who are not used to living overseas to feel a sense of relief and strength in their hearts.
